A few weeks ago Bart Beeckmans our CEO was interviewed by Sterck Magazine, one of Belgiums leading online periodicals. In an extensive interview Bart was asked to look at the road Navitrans has traveled during his tenure as CEO and reflect on the future that lies ahead. We picked a couple of interesting highlights from the interview.
“a pivotal shift came when changing to a subscription model and integrating the architecture with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central”
Navitrans has always focused on developing comprehensive management systems such as Transport Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Forwarding Management System (FMS). However, a pivotal shift came when changing to a subscription model and integrating the architecture with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This has propelled Navitrans’ offerings into the future. Bart Stated: “In 2023, we completely revamped and graphically updated the planning board of our TMS solution, which now fully operates in the cloud.”
“We are looking at growth on two fronts: organic expansion and acquisitions focused on the European market”
The acquisition by the American investment group Firmament has set a fresh and ambitious course for Navitrans. “We are looking at growth on two fronts: organic expansion and acquisitions focused on the European market,” Bart Explained. This means that Navitrans is also pushing boundaries in technological innovation. “In 2024, our main focus is on artificial intelligence, especially in optimizing our TMS planning module, This technological advancement is in collaboration with HPE, emphasizing a strategy of partnerships.”
With €13 million in revenue and a growing team, Navitrans operates across Europe with a significant R&D presence in Lithuania. Our dynamic structure caters to diverse markets, focusing on network distribution, specialized transport, and more. “The challenge is to offer our solutions not only in English. In some countries, our clients find it important to work with software in their own language,” Bart added.
“We have had to open all HR registers,”
In the war for talent, Navitrans has adopted innovative HR strategies. Bart mentioned: “We have had to open all HR registers,” He went on citing social media campaigns, collaborations, and a program with Microsoft to attract the right talent. Looking forward, Bart envisioned further product enhancement and service expansion, driven by strategic acquisitions. He concluded with an optimistic outlook on extending their partnership with a renowned Scandinavian transport and logistics concern.
